About Us
"Brasserie del Castello" is in its new guise situated in Viale Europa in Cusago, recently relocated from the Piazza del Castello Visconteo, into an "industrial" location but at the same time modern and elegant.
We welcome you in a "fresh" and chic environment, with unique pieces of art such as the paintings by the floral designer Paola Murgia, that decorate the walls of the restaurant giving elegance and style to the spaces.
Angelo Gangemi, patron of the brasserie
With my close-knit team, I interpret simple menus with typically Mediterranean scents and flavors with subtle refinement. A typically Italian cuisine that is inspired by the Milanese and Roman regional traditions, combining the classic with the modern, researching the best products and giving each ingredient its seasonality and enriching it with a clever touch of French flavors, especially in the choice of wines and cheeses .
A happy union between tradition and innovative ideas that aims to satisfy even the most refined palates.
My path
I was born in Rome in 1968. My love and passion for cooking emerged as a child in the kitchen next to my mother. After graduating with top marks from the Istituto Alberghiero di Stato, I gained valuable work experience in France where, at a young age, I learned the national culinary art in high-level restaurants.
Back in Italy, I moved to my beloved Rome, and later, for the love of my wife Stefania, in Milan, serving in several high-end hotels, such as the Royal Garden Hotel, 9 wonderful years in the role of Chef, and 10 years at the Grand Hotel et de Milan, as Executive Chef.
In September 2014, the turning point that enabled me to realize the “my biggest dream” opening the "Brasserie del Castello".
